How they wear: Plaid shirts (+ my picks)

I noticed that a lot of celebrities were wearing plaid shirts. These shirts are great for summer and transition well into fall/autumn. Here are three ways to wear your plaid shirt.

1. Tie your shirt around your waist 
This is a great way to wear a plaid shirt in the summertime. Pair it with some shorts for a casual and cool look. I already spotted some celebrities wearing their shirt this way (click here for my blogpost 'Trend: Tie your shirt around your waist'). As you can see in the picture above, Audrina and Vanessa wore their shirts this way when they were out in Los Angeles.

2. Wear your shirt open over a t-shirt
When you wear your plaid shirt open, your casual outfit will look a bit more polished. Jessica made her purple plaid shirt look feminine with a white t-shirt and a grey skirt on August 1st. Gwen wore an edgy red plaid shirt with a t-shirt and a pair of black jeans in London on July 28th.

3. Wear your shirt closed 
In the fall/autumn you can wear your plaid shirt closed for a preppy look. Katie and Hilary wore their plaid shirts with jeans and some boots. I think they chose the boots to make the outfit less preppy. Ashley looked edgy in an oversized plaid shirt and boots.
